Thyme is an aromatic plant with small leaves which can be perfectly matched with the Mediterranean cuisine, and can be cultivated either in the garden or on the balcony. It produces a pink-violet flower and emits a delicious scent, therefore it is also aesthetic. The thyme cultivation requires a high-Ph calcareous soil or unfertilized normal topsoil. Thyme is sowed from May to July because it is a summer plant. Keep the seeds at a distance of about 15 cm from each other so that the plant can develop well. This herbaceous plant can be cultivated also in the house, even if it needs to be always exposed to sunlight. It is a healthy evergreen aromatic herb containing vitamins A and C, but also manganese, copper and iron.
