Taste and use
Garlic Chives are often used as decorative elements in cooking, but it also makes a versatile side dish.
They can be boiled and steamed and used in stews and other dishes, or can be added to soups or risottos. They can also be used as a flavouring for meat, fish and eggs.
If you’re not keen on garlic and onion, try substituting them with the microgreens of the Garlic Chives. The flavour is more delicate and less intense, but your dishes will still have an extra aroma. The seedlings can also be cut and placed directly onto your food as a garnish.
